On Thursday February 8th, right here at Jonesport, the Royals fell to the Woodland Dragons to close their season at 14-3.This was their first, and only home loss for Jonesport-Beals, and for the Dragons, this also avenges their loss to the Royals last Saturday. The Royals will finish as the 2nd seed, and the Dragons as the 1st seed for the tournament in Bangor.

Woodland Senior Justin Worden and Junior Drew Hayward led their team to the win scoring 14 points a piece, while Junior Gavin Gardner added 13.

Royals Sophomore Ryan Alley led the game and the team in scoring with 17 points  with Senior Isaiah Faulkingham chipping in with 15.

Jonesport-Beals played from behind for most of the game but came close in the 4th quarter. However they could not come through with the win.

Since the Royals finished as the #2 seed in Class D North, they have a bye for the first round of the tournament. For the second round of the tournament, Jonesport-Beals  will face #10 Southern Aroostook at 11:05 a.m. on Monday the 19th.
