On March 27th, Jobs For Maine Graduates (JMG) held its 25th annual Career Development Conference where over 500 juniors and seniors from across the state, from schools like Jonesport-Beals, Narraguagus, Machias, Washington Academy, Ellsworth, Bangor, among many others, competed and showcased what they’ve learned in the classroom. These events are competitive; however, every event has a greater purpose than winning. The events teach the students career skilss such as public speaking, presenting a project,  teamwork, and how to make a resume.

Jonesport-Beals came away with a 2nd place award in the Communications event, a 3rd place award in the Pitch It!! Event, and a 2nd place award in the Photography Contest. Congratulations to all our students who worked hard for preparing for the event, as they did very well!
